At Boardwell Books Publications, we have a passion for delivering clean, tasteful fiction and nonfiction that will uplift readers while still tackling both the dark and light of the world. Because of this, we have a few guidelines for anyone looking to submit to our publishing house.

We Will Not Accept…

1. Any fiction or nonfiction submitted must not contain any explicit content, which includes:
   • Explicit sexual content, explicit language, unnecessary or explicit gore
2. Although we respect the right for individuals to follow their own beliefs and religions and to publish content surrounding these topics if they so choose, we will not publish fiction or nonfiction advocating for non-Christian beliefs or practices that we deem unholy.

We Will Accept…

1. Fiction and nonfiction that pushes the boundaries of what some would call “normal” or “acceptable” Christian fiction.
   • We see nothing wrong with fiction that some might consider “edgy” – as long as it’s addressed in a manner that is respectful of God, of people, and of the way God made the world to function.
     • Topics such as premarital sex, realistic depictions of non-Christians and the struggles of Christian life, drug or alcohol abuse, etc. can and should be explored…in a tasteful manner.
2. Authors who do not adhere to the Christian faith, specifically.
   • We hold to the conviction that you do not have to share our beliefs in order to write fiction and nonfiction that can honor God, because we believe that Truth comes from Him. As long as you are able to adhere to our specifications regarding the manner in which we handle different topics, both in your writing and through your platform while under contract with us, you do not need to be a Christian to publish with us.
     • If you are potentially uncomfortable with working alongside Christians who may not adhere to your same faith, please feel free to read our “What We Believe” page.
3. Authors who do not adhere to our specific Christian denomination.
   • We believe that denominational differences should not tear Christians apart, and we hold tightly to this belief in the realm of our publications as well.

What Genres Do We Publish?

Although we haven’t yet published other fiction genres, such as mystery, thriller, historical, or romance, we would be more than happy to consider publishing your novels of these genres.

• Ensure that your book fits the general guidelines for the word count of your genre (if you have any questions about this, feel free to contact us!)
• Your manuscript must be completed before submission

Subject Line:	Your Name, Your Book Title, Genre
Email Body:	Dear Boardwell Books Publications, *1-2 sentences detailing why you think you and your book would fit well with us*~ ~NOTE: include the title again and series title if applicable~ *any social media presence, awards, or previous publication experience* *A description of your novel, no more than 150 words* Thank you for your time. Sincerely, *Your Name*
Attached documents to Include:	– Synopsis (3-page, single-spaced description of your entire book – leave out no details!) – Series info (let us know if it is able to be part of a series, and if so, details about subsequent books. No more than half a page) – Cover letter (name, address, phone number, and e-mail address; links to any social media presence you have; include book title, word count, summary of plot/idea in 1 paragraph) – The Manuscript (double-spaced; one-inch margins on all sides
Other:	All documents should be Word or PDF documents. You can attach as a single document, or multiple, with the exception of the Cover Letter being a separate document no matter what.
